On October 7, 2024, the Kapalong Rescue and Emergency Services officially launched its Search and Rescue Training program for new members. This extensive 18-day initiative aims to enhance local emergency response capabilities and bolster community safety.The opening ceremony was graced by notable leaders, including Hon. Maria Theresa R. Timbol, Chairperson of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), and Hon. Edgardo L. Timbol, the Municipal Vice Mayor. Their presence underscores the local government’s steadfast commitment to disaster preparedness and response.Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT. Rodolfo B. Alocelja delivered an inspiring message to the trainees, emphasizing the vital roles of teamwork and dedication in emergency scenarios.
