March 26 2025&nbsp;The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) XI in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Kapalong Spearhead a Tree Planting Activity with the hashtag WeJuanaPlant as part of OCD XI culmination of this year's National Women's Month Celebration and the agency's continuous effort to advocate for a disaster-resilient Davao Region. Employees of OCD XI led by Assistant Regional Director Lenie Duran- Alegre, MNSA and LGU Kapalong Offices Municipality Environment and Natural Resource Office (MENRO) headed by Ms. Gemma Christie L. Vicada, EnP, MPDC/OIC-MENRO, Ms. Debbie Evardo Alilaya, MBA, MDRRM Officer with the active participation of MDRRMC Chairperson, Hon. Ma. Theresa R. Timbol showed their love for the Envirnment by planting 3000 Malibago Seedlings at the Riverbank along Kapalong Green Paradise, Brgy. Maniki, Kapalong Davao del Norte.ARD Alegre in her message, noted the overwhelming support of MDRRMC Chairperson DRRM-CCA programs and initiatives as seen in the beautiful landscape of Kapalong Green Paradise. She stressed that Kapalong was intentionally selected as the venue of the activity being the headwaters of the Tagum-Libuganon River Basin (TLRB). She further said, that OCD XI will schedule another Tree Planting Activity to plant another 300 Seedlings in selected areas along the River Bank of TLRB.Hon. Ma. Theresa R. Timbol also thanked OCD XI under the leadership of Dir. Ednar G.
