Orientation for Enumerations on the Risk Information System

February 13, 2025&nbsp;The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) successfully conducted an Orientation for Enumerators in the 16 puroks of Barangay Mabantao, marking the pilot implementation of this program.&nbsp;The activity aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the Risk Information System (RIS) and equip enumerators with the necessary skills to accurately collect and input data. During the session, participants learned about the importance of risk data collection and its role in disaster preparedness, response, and mitigation efforts.&nbsp;Facilitators provided a step-by-step demonstration on data encoding, ensuring that all enumerators could efficiently navigate the system. To reinforce learning, hands-on exercises were conducted, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the process and address potential challenges they might encounter in the field. By the end of the orientation, the enumerators gained practical knowledge on data input techniques and understood the significance of accurate and timely reporting.&nbsp;An open forum provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions and seek clarifications from the facilitators, fostering an interactive and productive learning environment. This initiative is part of the MDRRMO's ongoing commitment to strengthening community-based disaster risk management, under the leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Mayor Tess Timbol and Vice Chairperson Hon. Edgardo L. Timbol. Through this effort, the municipality ensures that reliable local data is collected and utilized for better decision-making.
