The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management headed by MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Maria Theresa R. Timbol and MDRRM Officer Debbie E. Alilaya, MBA, conducted the BDRRMC Plan Implementation Review and Assessment, bringing together participants from all BDRRMCs in the Municipality of Kapalong, including their respective Barangay Captains, Secretaries, Treasurers, and 1 Councilor. This vital initiative held in compliance with RS 10121 (Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010) which aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Barangay's DRRM Programs and projects which provides enhancement and improvement of the barangay's disaster preparedness and response strategies, ensuring community safety and resilience.MDRRM Officer Debbie E. Aliliya,MBA and Geol. Kin Rey Bayabodan led the sessions, providing expert guidance to align BDRRM plans with local and national disaster risk reduction goals. Their insights and recommendations fostered a proactive approach to disaster management, empowering the BDRRMCs with practical solutions.Special recognition is extended to Ms. Junalyn Balmores of Municipal Accounting Office for presenting a detailed utilization report, which emphasized resource accountability and effective financial management. Atty. Louie Limbaro, MLGOO-DILG, further inspired the participants with his motivational message underscoring the importance of leadership, collaboration, and proactive planning.The activity concluded with a strong emphasis on transparency and the sharing of additional knowledge and best practices that will help each barangay refine and enhance their disaster preparedness plans.
