LGU Kapalong celebrates National Bible Month 2025

Kapalong, Davao del Norte--Mayor Theresa R. Timbol, together with the LGU- Kapalong employees,department heads, and section chiefs gathered at the Municipal Gymnasium today, January 27, 2025 to celebrate the National Bible Month with the theme "God's Word: Source of Hope" where HOPE stands for Harmony, Obedience, Peace and Empowerment. The Moral Recovery Program spearheaded the celebration and commenced the program by sharing two passages in the Bible--Lamentations 3:21-26, and Romans 15:4.Pastor Barsabal highlighted the importance of reading the Bible every day and obeying God's word. Everybody in attendance was enlightened by the scripture and expressed one's faith through singing worship songs.More than just a national celebration, this is the time to realign ourselves with the word of God and believe in His plan for us as we face our new year with trials and triumphs, Pastor Bersabal added.Mayor Theresa R. Timbol, in her speech, said that there are 80 pastors who have already organized churches in Sitio and Puroks in Barangay Gupitan. This also serves as a movement to continue peace and order in the area. She also introduced DILG officer Marc Voltaire F. Daquigan, the newly installed Municipal Local Operations Officer in the municipality.
