Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology Celebrates 17th Commencement Exercises with Pride

<p>Kapalong, Davao del Norte -- June 20, 2025 -- The Kapalong Town Square was filled with joy, pride, and a strong sense of achievement as the 17th Commencement Exercises of the Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology Batch 2025 took place. Hundreds of graduates from various disciplines, their families, faculty members, members of the governing board, the academic council, and administrative staff gathered to celebrate the remarkable milestones of the young scholars who are now stepping into new chapters of their lives.</p><p>Dr. Rodrigo C. Licayan, Jr., KCAST College President, delivered an inspiring opening remarks that resonated deeply with the graduating class.</p><p>"Today, we gather to honor not just accomplishments, but the journey of grace that carried each of you to this moment," he said.</p><p>"Every medal blazes with divine favor; every diploma whispers nights spent in perseverance; and every triumph bears the signature of God's unyielding faithfulness--an embodiment of the resilient KCAST spirit," he added.</p><p>Dr. Licayan emphasized the significance of the theme, "KCAST Graduates of 2025: Honoring Success with Pride, Embracing a Bold Beginning for a Shared Future," highlighting that graduates are not only recipients of academic achievement but also agents of change prepared to serve with integrity, compassion, and leadership.</p><p>"Your black toga symbolizes life's uncertainties, but within God's plan, it reflects a sacred mystery," the President pointed out, encouraging graduates to embrace their journey and the spectrum of colors representing their unique paths.</p><p>In a heartfelt message, Hon. Maria Theresa R. Timbol, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Municipal Mayor, extended her warm congratulations to the graduates and parents.</p><p>"Your success is a shared triumph--your families, educators, and the entire Kapalong community stand proud of your resilience and dedication," she said.</p><p>She lauded KCAST's commitment to accessible and high-quality education, noting its recognition as the first local college in the Davao Region with the most Level II accredited programs.</p><p>Mayor Timbol also highlighted the institution's role in fostering hope and empowerment, especially for marginalized sectors and indigenous peoples.</p><p>"You, dear graduates, are living proof that education transforms lives. Never forget the sacrifices made by your parents and guardians--their love and support are the foundations of your achievements," she added.</p><p>The ceremony also recognized outstanding students with Latin awards, honoring academic excellence and leadership. Your education is a gift--use it to uplift others and shape a better world."</p><p>The 17th Batch of KCAST graduates now stand prepared to face new challenges with courage and purpose, embodying the institution's mission. With their diplomas in hand, they are set to contribute meaningfully to society--guided by faith, hope, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.</p><p>Congratulations, Batch 2025!
