Today, February 7, 2025 marked an important milestone for the Municipality of Kapalong as we welcomed the esteemed guests from Japan International Cooperation Agency project team and Office of the Civil Defense XI to the Municipality of Kapalong particularly in the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office for a significant plan feedbacking session.&nbsp;This activity is participated by respective office heads that contributed to the formulation and finalization of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management plan. This session was attended by key office heads who played a crucial role in the formulation and finalization of the plan. During the session, we discussed the overall process, including the challenges encountered throughout the formulation stage. Following the session, the team conducted an on-ground assessment of Purok Tumana, Pag-asa, the most flood-prone area in Kapalong.&nbsp;This visit gave them the opportunity to witness firsthand the challenges faced by the community and underscored the urgent need for ongoing mitigation efforts to address the persistent flooding issues. To conclude their visit, they explored some of Kapalong's most notable landmarks, reflecting the spirit and pride of our municipality. They visited Green Paradise, a symbol of our commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable tourism, as well as the Kapalong Public Market, a vibrant hub that represents the heart of our local economy and culture.
