To ensure an efficient facilitation of the Public Hearing/Consultation scheduled for February 6, 2025, MPDC, EnP. Gemma Cristie L. Vicada spearheaded an internal briefing with the Legislative Body together with Engr. Arnel L. Daquiz, RMP, Project Development Officer III; Lynie A. Baylin, LPT, MBA, Planning Officer I, and; Harold Rey M. Noble, Admin. Aide VI/ GIS Specialist. This pre-public hearing/consultation initiative was conducted after the Regular Session on January 27, 2025, to orient the SB Members on their crucial function as a consultative body responsible for reviewing and approving the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
Presented during the briefing is the background of the 9th Step of the CLUP/ZO Planning process, which is to conduct a Public Hearing. Also presented were the Executive Summary, ZO Highlights, and a sample map of Barangay Maniki reflecting the existing and proposed land uses and zones for the town center. The Sanggunian shall oversee the public consultation to ensure that the community's concerns and inputs are considered in the planning and zoning process to help make the plan more inclusive and aligned with local needs.
