In a step towards enhancing infrastructure development and accessibility in the municipality of Kapalong, an Inter-Local Agency Partnership Agreement was signed today for a one-kilometer road opening project in Sitio Baho, Barangay Gupitan. The collaborative effort involves the provincial government of Davao del Norte and various units of the Philippine Army.Sitio Baho, Barangay Gupitan, is a community of Indigenous People, adding cultural significance to the project that aims to provide better access and mobility for the residents and uplift their socio-economic development and quality of life. The signing ceremony took place at the office of the municipal mayor, Maria Theresa Royo Timbol, and marked a crucial milestone in the joint initiative to improve transportation networks and connectivity in the municipality. The project aims to provide better access and mobility for the residents of Sitio Baho and surrounding communities, ultimately contributing to their socio-economic development and quality of life.The partnership involves key stakeholders including the 10th Infantry Agila Division, the 52nd Engineering Brigade, PA, the 1001st Infantry Brigade, PA, the 534th Engineer Construction Battalion, and the 60th Infantry Mediator Battalion of the Philippine Army. Through their combined expertise, resources, and commitment to service, these agencies will work together to ensure the successful implementation of the road opening project.Barangay Captain Marco Pupa, Barangay Chairperson of Barangay Gupitan, welcomed the attendees and conveyed his appreciation for the collaborative effort that will benefit the community. Brigadier General Ronnie B. Babac PA, Commander of the 1001st Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army, delivered a message of support and encouragement, emphasizing the importance of the project for the welfare of the residents.In his address, Brigadier General Francisco Marlon S. Wong PA, the Commander of the 52nd Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army, underscored the significance of infrastructure development in fostering progress and prosperity. He highlighted the vital role of the partnership in addressing the needs of the community and promoting sustainable growth in the municipality and the whole province of Davao del Norte.Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mayor Maria Theresa Royo Timbol expressed her gratitude to the participating agencies for their dedication to the welfare of the community.
