Kapalong, Davao del Norte - Over 9 couples from Barangay Semong, Kapalong, Davao del Norte exchanged vows and tied the knot in a momentous and successful Kasalan ng Bayan unfolded today, April 5, 2024 at the Semong Gymnasium. This event is in line with the 70th Araw ng Barangay Semong.Hon. Maria Theresa Royo-Timbol, Barangay Captain Nickell Mones, along with his barangay council, esteemed guests from the Davao del Norte Lady Eagle Club, graced the event. Mayor Timbol, as the officiating official conveyed a message emphasizing the importance of love and unity within marriage.Kasalan ng Bayan is an annual program organized by the local government unit of Kapalong, in collaboration with Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Officials, and Local Civil Registrar's Office.As each couple exchanged vows and rings, surrounded by the support and well-wishes of their respective families and fellow community members, the spirit of unity and commitment filled the air and proved the power of love and the strength of bonds in Barangay Semong.
