&nbsp;The office of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management was successfully conducted Communication, Education, and Public Awareness on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Purok 14, San Jose Maniki, Kapalong Davao del Norte&nbsp;This initiative aimed to strengthen the community's resilience against various disasters and hazards. As part of the ongoing efforts to promote disaster preparedness, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) continues to fulfill its mission of educating the local community on disaster risk management. The event emphasized the importance of understanding Republic Act 10121, also known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act, which provides the framework for reducing disaster risks and enhancing community resilience.&nbsp;&nbsp;Through this activity, the MDRRMO empowered residents with essential knowledge and skills on how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural and man-made disasters. The event featured informative discussions and interactive sessions to increase awareness on emergency protocols, safety measures, and available resources. Such initiatives play a vital role in ensuring that communities are not only aware of the risks they face but also equipped to respond effectively when disaster strikes.
