47th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Kapalong

Kapalong, Davao del Norte - The 47th regular session of the Sangguniang Bayan, presided over by Vice Mayor Edgardo L. Timbol, convened on December 2, 2024 with all members present. The session addressed ten (10) resolutions, including the Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) 2021-0001 issued by the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and PhilHealth.Among the significant matters discussed was the endorsement from Honorable Mayor Maria Theresa Timbol regarding PLUC Resolution No. 1, Series of 2024. This resolution pertains to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), Zoning Ordinance, and Risk-Informed Plan, as well as the Approved Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDFP).The Sangguniang Bayan timely acted on these local policies to ensure the benefit and welfare of the people of Kapalong, demonstrating their commitment to responsible governance and community development.In a statement, Vice Mayor Edgardo L. Timbol emphasized, "Today's session reflects our dedication to the progress of Kapalong. By addressing essential resolutions and endorsing critical plans, we are taking meaningful steps toward ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future for our constituents. It is our duty to enact policies that enhance the quality of life for all our residents."The session concluded with a collective commitment from the council members to continue working diligently on initiatives that will foster community growth and development in Kapalong.
